Organization: Conejo Parks and Recreation

Problem: With thousands of records dating back decades and new documents daily involving all of the properties and activities of the department, there was no easy way to find information needed from civic board meetings which were critical to contracts, improvements, labor and safety issues.

Solution: Anacapa Imaging engineered a data-mining solution that would allow the agency to instantly find a document by using a full-text word search on thousands of pages of government documents. All of these files were scanned and indexed so documents were organized by date and type of document. Anacapa Imaging then took all of the scanned documents images, index fields and OCR text and integrated them into a DocView system. The DocView system contained all of the documents from the agency both in a legally admissible image format and synchronized full-text searchable database.
